Last Man Standing Spreadsheet Template
This week’s free template is for all the sport fans. Last Man Standing, Suicide pool, King of the Hill, Knockout, or the Survivor are just a few of the name for this game.
The rules are quite simple. Every week you pick a team that you think is going to win. If your team won you get to play next week, otherwise you are eliminated. You can only chose a team once during the game. Last man standing wins.
The rules are quite simple yet to win you must have a long-term strategy. One strategy, for example, is to use strong teams at the beginning of the game. Another strategy is to save the strong teams to the end. You will be surprized to see how quickly many players are eliminated and how difficult it is to become the last man standing.
If you are playing this game at the office you might want to keep things organized by using the Last Man Standing Spreadsheet Template. This template is created with MS Excel (you can also use OpenOffice or Mac Numbers) and it’s quite easy to use. The template will help you keeping track of the game.
How to use the template
The template is quite straight-forward but if you need help with some of the fields here is how it works.
- Names
Enter the names of all the people who entered the pool. The template is made for 55 people but you can easily add rows if you have more players. - Team selection – Week number
Enter the name of a team the player have chosen next to the player’s name. - Win or loss
Once the game is finished mark all those who lost with “-” and all those who won with “+” sign. You can do this by copy-pasting cells. - Filter
Since you only want to see those who go ahead with the game use data sort and filter out those who did not win. You should then only see those players marked with “+”. Ask those players to submit their picks for week 2.
From there you continue the same way week after week. Have players predict which teams is to win. Those who guessed right stay in the game and predict again. Those who guessed wrong (team lost or draw) are out of the competiton.
