As you look for work from home jobs, you’ll need to keep an eye out for scammers or predatory employers. Scammers posing as companies or independent contractors may offer you fake remote jobs to access your personal information, including your name, social security number, and banking information.

Common signs of a job scam

  • There is little information on the company’s history, products, or business practices.
  • You’re limited to one point of contact.
  • You can’t find former employees to verify the legitimacy of the company.
